This Maori Bone Koru Heru Comb features beautifully detailed carving.
The curving Koru design represents the unfurling new fern shoot, and in this heru it has been shown in a very realistic manner, with four fern shoots coming out the top of the comb.
The sturdy cow bone heru has 4 prongs and measures approximately 16cm (6 1/4") long.
Heru were a sign of rank in the Maori pre-European world, and were worn in a top knot.
This heru is proudly shipped worldwide, from New Zealand.
